Some days when you first wake up and think about what you're going to wear is dreadful. You immediately think, "ugh... I have to look nice today too? I don't feel like it." So you decide to wear t-shirt and yoga pants. No. If you're a girl working so hard to have a preppy style you're about to slaughter your hard work if you wear something strange. Here are a couple ways to stay comfy and still look cute.
Remember, take the weather under consideration. I have some outfit ideas for all seasons, so get ready.
Summer:
Obviously you're not going to dress super cute during the summer because hopefully you will be swimming and having a great time with the seasonal activities. But let's be honest, you're bound to hang out with friends inside the air-conditioned house most of the time. You will of course be taking pictures for social media later, so you have to look cute. Here's an idea, tank top and shorts. You can wear an adorable monogrammed tank and denim shorts with Rainbow's. Rainbow's are super comfortable and stylish. Monogrammed tank tops are ADORABLE and affordable. They come in so many summery colors and they look so cute on everybody. Another outfit idea is a short-sleeved, navy, Vineyard Vines tee, white shorts and Jack Rogers. I think that the Vineyard Vines tees are super cute and comfortable. White shorts are just a basic necessity that every girl needs in the Summer. Lastly, Jack Rogers are great for any preppy girl. Everyone should have a good pair of sandals during the summer for outfits like these, or when you go out to dinner and wear a dress. I think sandals are definitely a go to.
Fall:
Aaahh. The stress of Fall. School's starting back up again and you HAVE to own the best wardrobe. You want to walk into school and have everyone compliment your outfit. At least that's what is going through my mind when I am back to school shopping. Yet you still have those lazy days. Here are the outfits I came up with. First, a plain colored v-neck and light wash jeans, that are rolled up at the bottom with Jack Rogers. It looks so cute and stylish. You don't have to wear jewelry but it is definitely an option. Another Fall outfit idea would be to wear a 3/4 sleeve top and rolled, light jeans with Rainbow's Flip Flops. I think that since during Autumn it is cooler in the morning and then burning up in the afternoon, the 3/4 sleeves is a good idea.
Winter:
Where I live, it is supposed to be in the 70°s on Christmas. :( I don't understand! Isn't Winter supposed to be cold? Usually we have colder Winters but hey I guess I am not complaining, we could have three feet of snow. Anyways, outfit ideas. For some good Winter outfits, I like the idea of vests and cozy sweaters. Here's an idea, wear a Vineyard Vines tee or a Simply Southern tee and a fantastic Jadelynn Brooke sweatshirt with dark jeans and Bean Boots. BAM! Super cute! You could also switch the jeans to leggings but it is your choice. Another outfit idea would be a super soft and cozy sweater from Gap with leggings and cute Bean Boot socks from J.Crew along with Bean Boots. That would be a super cute outfit and very comfortable.
Spring:
Spring is such a great season, flowers blooming, baby ducks and rabbits everywhere and the weather is perfect. I like to pair shirts with cardigans because it is still cool out. Here are some great ideas I came up with. First, a navy v-neck and a patterned cardigan with jeans and white Converse. Another idea is a short-sleeved Simply Southern shirt or a monogrammed Frocket with jeans and white Converse or Sanuks. I think that outfit would be super cute and comfy. I like all of these outfit choices and I would definitely wear them. Lots of these brands can be expensive so please don't think you have to wear these to be preppy. I know that Sperry has a cheaper alternative for Bean Boots and I don't think Sanuks are too expensive but I am not sure. I hope these gave you some great inspiration for your seasonal outfits! Love y'all so much!
